If you fill in one of our forms, it opens your own email app with the message ready to go. Nothing reaches us until you press send yourself.

Spire Homecare Limited provides care at home across Somerset and Wiltshire, and is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
For information handled through this website, Spire Homecare Limited is the data controller. That means we are responsible for deciding how it is used. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies at all. That is why you have not been asked to accept any.
There is no Google Analytics on this site, and no advertising or social media tracking pixels. We do not store anything in your browser, and we do not know who you are or which pages you have looked at.
The typefaces used here are served from this website rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
When you contact us through a form
Our care enquiry form asks for your name, telephone number, and optionally your email address, postcode and a description of the support you are looking for. The recruitment form asks for your name, email address, telephone number and the kind of role you are interested in.
These forms work differently from most. Rather than sending your details to us over the internet, the form opens your own email app with the message already written, addressed to the relevant office. Your details go nowhere until you choose to press send.
Once you send it, your enquiry sits in that office's mailbox and is read by the team there. We use it to answer you and, if you go on to arrange care, it becomes part of your records with us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
When you check your postcode
The postcode checker on our office pages runs entirely inside your browser. The postcode you type is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is forgotten as soon as you leave the page.
Job vacancies
The vacancies listed on our jobs page are drawn from our recruitment system, SeeMeHired. Our website requests the list of roles; your visit is not part of that request and nothing about you is sent.
Applying is different. The apply buttons take you to SeeMeHired's own website, where anything you submit is handled by them under their privacy policy as well as ours. Read their notice before applying if you want to understand how they use your information.
CQC ratings on our office pages
Each office page shows that office's official rating using a widget provided by the Care Quality Commission. Displaying it means your browser makes a request to cqc.org.uk, and that request will include your IP address, as any web request does.
This is the only connection to another organisation that any page on this site makes. If you would rather avoid it, the same information is available by visiting the CQC website directly.
Technical information our hosting keeps
This website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, their systems record technical details of requests, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site from attack. This happens for every website you visit and is not something we use to identify you.
Your rights
Because this site collects nothing about you as you browse, there is usually nothing for us to look up. If you have emailed us, you have rights over the information in that email. You can:
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete it, where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
- Ask us to restrict how we use it while a concern is looked into.
- Object to us using it, where we are relying on our legitimate interests.
- Ask us to transfer it to you or to another organisation.
If you receive care from us, or work for us
This page covers the website. The information we hold about the people we support, their families and our staff is a much bigger subject, including health records, care plans and employment records, and it is governed by our full data protection policy.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we have the chance to put it right.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. Coming to us first does not affect your right to go to them.
